- Clear the clutter (things lying all over the place, stop the flow of positive energy)
- Front yard and path to your front door should be clear of clutter and overhanging branches.
- Lights along the path with help direct good energy into your front door.
- Your front door must open fully without hinderance.
- All locks and screens must be in good working order.
- If your backyard slopes downwards, plant some tall trees, put in a flag pole or light up high to help support you.
- Move your furniture at least 3 inches in any direction to allow fresh energy to flow.
- Any outdoor water features must have the flow of water pointing in the direction of the house not away from it.
- Use Earthy tones in bathrooms to downplay money loss.
- Decorate bathrooms with stones and sand.
- Hang a multifaceted crystal sphere in the South East sector of your home to improve finances.
- Keep toilet lids down and close bathroom doors, to stop money flushing away.
- Keep your pantry well stocked to allow the feel of abundance.
- A porcelain bowl filled with crystals or gemstones should be placed in the centre of your home.
- Never have water features or plants in the bedroom.
- Don’t display elephant statures if their trunks point downwards.
- If you have a TV or computer in your bedroom, place a cloth over the screen at night to help you relax and enjoy deeper sleep.

All of the above will help you get the most you can from your surrounds, but these are only a few tips to get you started. But this is really just the tip of the iceberg, it’s only when you get a real guide to help you assess your home that you realise how many things are working against the positive flow of energy and draining your luck.

Round 8 – Colour Your World For Success July 12, 2009

All cultures in some way or another use colour to represent or symbolise beliefs, values or events. We all have our favourites, those special colours that we wear that make us feel great, or we use them around the house as they appeal to our ‘eye’. Colour has a profound effect on all of us at every level either physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Try adding these colours into your life, they can have a profound effect on your emotions, health, outlook and abundance.

GOLD – Add gold into your day, representing this very precious metal has a positive effect on your relationship to abundance. Gold tones can be used to highten self-esteem, the first step required for allowing it to flow into your life. First Place, is always awarded a Gold Medal, that is where you need to aim with all that you do! Always buy your lotto tickets with gold coins.

GREEN – Represents growth and renewal, in many cultures the currency is printed in green for this very reason. Green also reflects our love for ourselves, very important if we are too thrive, just like a healthy plant.

RED – Especially popular in Chinese culture, red is a very symbolic colour for prosperity. It is rich, warming and energising. Wear red and you won’t have a lazy moment that day. If you need fire in your furnace, add red for good luck, increase in fortune, power and strength.

PURPLE – Used by Royalty, purple represents dignity, wealth, abundance, intuition and imagination. Combine with gold for a totally regal approach to your day.

ORANGE – Be wary of people who use the colour orange all the time, they have an incredible thirst for power and prestige and can often be deceitful, BUT on a positive note adding orange to your day can stimulate creativity, clear writers block and can give you encouragement to get out of bed and create your success.

YELLOW – Feel the power of the sun improve your day in many ways. It will entice you to get up and take action, as it will build a fire within. If you are prone to self destructive behaviour, wear a yellow tshirt OFTEN! Wear lemon for a feeling of youthfulness.

Have a good look around, including your wardrobe, what colours do you see? What do you need to add to today to help you acheive your goals?

Happy Colouring!

Round 7 – Meditation Magic, no it’s not just for Monks! July 4, 2009

Would you like a key to a NEW you and to unlock the path to a more fulfilling and successful life?

Is meditation worth the effort? You bet it is!

If you think you have to sit on the floor and contortion yourself into a lotus, shave your head, and go and lock yourself away in a mountain retreat – think again. Meditation is for EVERYONE and that means YOU too. Many people think of meditation as a trance like state where you remove yourself from the real world. Meditation does allow states of deep relaxation, but can also be an effective tool to rejuvenate yourself, overcome fatigue and sluggishness, boost your energy flow, and help release negative and stressful thought patterns.

Meditation has a long list of benefits and everyone will reap the rewards of there effort:-

- Reduces stress
- Lowers Blood Pressure
- Improves sleep patterns
- Better physical health
- Slows the heart rate
- Allows you to let go of negative things that you have no control over
- You will be more understanding of others thoughts and feelings
- Calm the mind and provide clarity of thought
- Promotes a positive outlook on life
- Enhances concentration
- Creates a harmonious link between you and your environment
- Provide inner peace
- Allows your Intuition (inner guidance system) to serve you better

Enough with the convincing that it is worth your while, let’s get down to the nitty gritty of how ANYONE can incorporate meditation into their daily lives and reap the benefits.

You don’t need to allow hours and hours, and reality if that is what was required, it would be out of the reach for most of us as we just cannot spare that much time out of our busy schedules.
If you can find 10 minutes a day, you can be on the path to success. Some prefer to meditate upon rising in the morning, others prefer to do it when they go to bed. It is your choice and there are no rules, you decide when suits you best. If you can allocate a certain part of the day and stick with that it will be to your benefit.

It does not matter whether you lie down or sit, as long as you are warm and comfortable. You must be able to completely relax and breathe easily and deeply, so experiment with different places/positions until you find the one that is perfect for you. If you are worried about nodding off to sleep, use a kitchen timer to alert you that your time is up. If you are worried about dozing you will not be able to fully relax. Take your phone off the hook and flick your cell to silent mode. You want to avoid all possible distractions.

In our every day lives, our minds chatter with thoughts at an amazing pace, you never have a completely blank moment, something is always going on in there. Meditation is about learning to turn off that chatter and for many this is the biggest stumbling block to success.

When you have made yourself comfortable, gently close your eyes and start taking nice slow deep breaths. Focus on your chest slowly rising and sinking, starting at the top of your head and working down to your feet, feel each part of your body relax. If your chattering mind won’t rest, count ‘1’ on each breath in and ‘2’ on each breath out. When thoughts do enter, gently push them aside, try not to focus and elaborate on what you are thinking about. Don’t be surprised if for your first few attempts you cannot ‘empty’ your mind. It takes practice, and please don’t try to force them away. It is years of living that are at work in your mind, you cannot just throw all that away in an instant. If you have a really dominant, negative thought, you can try mentally ‘throwing it in the bin’ before you start your meditating. You are just telling that thought it no longer needs to be controlling you. You can pick your favourite spot on earth and visualise being there, that is more relaxing than stressing over something if you just cannot let it go.

Meditation can be challenging, especially if you want instant results, but slowly and gently persevere it is worth it. Some people respond better if they listen to a guided meditation, that will provide soothing music and gentle prompts on lovely things to focus on, and if the ‘silent’ style above just does not work for you, then a guided helping hand could be of benefit. The following site has hundreds of meditations, including many that can tackle specific issues you might be dealing with or help to enhance a special part of you click here, just find your ideal method and go with it.

Good Luck!

Round 6 – Clear The Clutter, Make Room For More June 29, 2009

Take a good look around your house NOW! Do you see piles of ‘stuff’ lying around all over the place. Go into each room, open cupboards and drawers, do things fall down at your feet or jump out of overstuffed drawers? Clutter not only looks bad, it makes it hard to find the things we really need, it collects dust and I am sure little baby clutters are magically produced when we are not looking.

The worst thing about clutter is that it holds on to old, negative energy, and your living enviorment will feel old and stale no matter how many times you vacuum around it.  You don’t have to live in a mansion to feel the wonderful energy that will flow if things are neat, tidy and in proper order.

Often we are too scared to let go of the old, because we ‘might’ need it, or we are not sure when we will be able to afford to buy a new one, but if you make the effort to get rid of things you no longer need, you are sending the message that you have room for more wonderful new things, and guess what? they will start arriving in more ways than one.

If you have items that are lying around, but are in good condition, sell them on ebay or have a yard sale. A mini fortune could be lying around just waiting to be cashed in, remember your trash is someones treasure.  If selling them does not appeal to you, donate them to your local charity. All good deeds you do, return to you in an even bigger and better way. You need to be ruthless, and do it properly now and you won’t have to do it again for a very long time.  If you happen to be moving house, this is the best time to do this job, because whatever you choose not to keep, you don’t have to pack!

Don’t try and do the whole house in a day, start with one room and slowly work at your pace through the rest of your house. While you are at it, clean each room from top to toe and just feel the incredible difference in the energy when you glance around and everything is sparkly and shiny.

If you are a ‘paper’ collector, go through the piles and discard everything you don’t need, and get a lever arch file and lot’s of plastic pockets and put each item into this folder. When you need the train timetable or the kids sports information or that favourite recipe or invitation, just like magic you will be able to find it straight away.  You are bound to find an empty box for two as you go through this process. Keep one to put all your receipts in, this will make tax time much easier for you. Keep another and put warranties, photo’s, keepsakes (anything that holds important value to you) in this one for safe keeping. You will soon be able to find ANYTHING you need in a moments notic

This amazing exercise will allow you to free up and remove so much stagnant energy around your home, that has a direct influence on your life. When you have completed it, you will feel so much more energised, you will feel in the flow and EVERYTHING will be so much more positive. You will feel very proud, and you can let the universe know that you are now happy to receive lot’s of wonderful new gifts.

GET STARTED NOW, IN A FEW DAYS YOU WILL BE SOOOOOO GLAD YOU DID!

Round 5 – Save Money and Save Your Sanity June 19, 2009

How much is lack of cash causing you to stress?

Saving money is something that we must all do, but when things get tough, savings is always the first thing to suffer.

The stress associated with not having a ‘nest egg’, is so detrimental to our wellbeing that our whole life plan, relationships, and focus is affected.

In times of economic downturn we all feel that as the money flow dries up, we just cannot find spare cash to put away. Does that sound familiar?

No matter how bad things seem, you need to alter our mindset and let the universe know that you are in control, you are saving, and by taking positive steps you will feel so much better that so many other areas of your life will flourish at the same time.

So before you throw your hands up in disgust and say you CANNOT find a single penny to save, have a look at some of these simple and easy to implement ideas, and remember just starting with ONE will start the snowball rolling.

BANISH BAD HABITS

Think of all the not so good habits that have crept into your life over the years. Many of these are damaging to your wealth and your health. Coffee, Chocolate, Soda, Junk Food etc. you think you can’t live without them, but I bet that if you worked out what they cost each week, and instead of cutting all of the coffee you drink or the chocolate you eat, just start with REDUCING the amount you consume over a period of seven days. This much easier than trying to axe everything, as you will probably cave under the pressure and nothing will have been gained.

SAVE YOUR PENNIES

Every time you need to pay for something, use a note, not the loose change in your wallet. These coins need to be put into the bank or paid off your credit card. Don’t just place it in a jar, where it is easy for you to grab it at any time. Take the small amounts to the bank and put them where you can’t touch them. No need to feel embarrassed, this is an important step to your success.

FINDING HIDDEN DOLLARS

Don’t frown on generic products when you are grocery shopping, many are just as good as the name brands, make your lunch at home and take it with you to work, scour the junk mail for specials on products you use, use coupons for big savings, do a phone-rate check up, don’t buy books, use your local library, stop or reduce cigarette consumption, search for auction houses in your area if you need to replace household items, don’t buy more than you can consume  waste is a big dollar drainer, pay your bills on time and avoid late charges. Just by putting some of these into action can ad up to huge amounts every week.

CASH IN ON A CLEAN HOUSE

Cleaning products can make up a very big chunk of the weekly shopping bill, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda can get your house sparkling and they cost almost nothing.

THINK BEFORE YOU BUY

Do you really need it, or do you just want it? It is really tempting to splurge on items that we could live without. Use the 24 hour rule for purchases that you might not need, just want. Think about the purchase for 24 hours, if after that time you just CANT live without it, then get it if you can pay cash for it. More often than not, you will realise that you don’t really need it and will hang on to the money instead.

If you feel WONDERFUL about saving money, spending wisely, and taking control of debt, you will create a very positive energy flow and you can not avoid attracting more of that positive energy to flow your way.  The more you focus on debt and the negative effects that it is having on your life, the more you will attract the same into the future.

There is nothing more empowering than making decisions on what you want and when you want to do things than making everything dependent on your bank balance and how far you can stretch.

Round 3 – Banish the Bad Bits June 12, 2009

This weeks exercise is all about helping you become the best you can be, by slowly working through your list of things you don’t like about yourself and your life. When you have reached the bottom, you have just compiled a list of something that you can do each week to help you move forward in a positive light.

Some examples could be:-
Weight Issues – No Chocolate This Week
Money – Don’t spend any coins, put them in a jar and then bank them when they reach $50
Clutter – I will clean out 4 drawers…..get the idea, these are not huge steps, just nice simple ones and each week as you add another step, you will be jogging down that path…

The idea is to FOCUS on the reward, not the process. Taking each of these steps will improve your mood, improve how you feel about yourself, and improve your life.
A little snowflake can become a giant snowball if enough flakes come together…..

Til next time, good luck and DO IT NOW!

You ARE special, and you must VALUE yourself!

The most important thing to remember is that you MUST step onto the path of self improvement, and slowly walk along it, you don’t need to do a marathon run and try and change everything in one hour. It is much more practical and easier to acheive success if you focus on small shifts in improving YOU, as these will have huge long term positive affects on the outcome.

It is time to make some decisions, say NO to the things that do not serve you in a positive way, and start stretching the decision muscle.

The difference between success and failure comes from habits, and most of the things we don’t like about our current life, comes from small BAD habits that have created a life we do not LOVE!

NOW, take your list of all things that you do not like and on a clean sheet of paper, list them down the left hand side, and mark some column’s across the page that give you enough room to add some comments. Across the top of each column, mark each one with WEEK 1, WEEK 2 etc.

Now slowly start working down your list, pick a MINI goal that IS achievable for each of your issues.

Round 2 – Focus on the Fabulous June 2, 2009

Filed under: Steps to Success — stayathomesuccessnow @ 11:39 AM

Today you need to start with your list of POSITIVES!

If you want success, riches and abundance to flood your life, you must turn off the NEGATIVE button and put your energy into the good things that are part of your being.
I hope you have a long list to work with, but if you don’t I will help you grow that list, so you have something really good to work with.
Don’t forget to include things like a sunrise/sunset, your favourite song, chocolate, your eyes or nose or nails, chocolate, family, friends, pets, chocolate, do you get the idea.
Gratitude creates a powerful, positive energy. Creating more of what we love and more of the good things in life, and allowing them into your existance.

The easiest way to focus on and harness this ‘good stuff’, is by using a GRATIDUE JOURNAL. Grab a pretty or inspiring notebook or a simple exercise book and start with a list of 25 things that make your heart sing right now. Then start keeping a journal of all the good things in your life or great experiences you enjoyed each day. The best time to do this is at the end of the day. Even if everyting didn’t quite go to plan, you can head of to bed with lot’s of good thoughts running through your head. You will be more relexed and will enjoy deeper sleep. Even if you think that life is BAD right now, consider for a minute, people living in impoverished nations and how they would feel if they only had half of everything you have right now!
Your journal will become a wonderful diary that you can refer to time and time again, especially when you are having a bad day!

Start your journal TODAY and watch the amazing transformation and see the wonderful things that will come our way when you live your life in GRATITUDE!

Stuck on a gift idea for a loved one, buy a gorgeous notebook and print out these instructions. Who’s life could you have a huge positive impact on?

Round 1 – How to win and be a stay at home success story! May 22, 2009

Filed under: Steps to Success — stayathomesuccessnow @ 5:02 PM
Tags: , ,

Today begins with the first round preparing and organising your life so that you can stay at home without stress, in complete control of your finances and at ease that everything is as it should be……

The first thing you need to do is a STOCKTAKE!

Yes I know that these are usually reserved for businesses, but a personal STOCKTAKE can be a very enlightening experience, albiet sometimes a little scary. To fix the wrongs and highlight the rights, you need to establish what’s what!

Pen and paper time…….

- First list will be all the things you LOVE about yourself and your life. You MUST have at least 10 things on that list. It does not matter how minor they are, just jot them down. If you can manage more than 20, congratulations!

- Second list will be a list of all things you don’t like about yourself or your life, and same rule applies, please make sure you have at least 10 items!

Please spend a little time doing this, and if you are game, elist the help of others. We are very good at only seeing our faults and not our good points.

To truly empower yourself and be the best you can be, you need to know EXACTLY where you are now, before you can move forward and create your perfect life.

Till next time,
Cheers
Nikki
